The Opportunity

This position will be working within the Rapid Diagnostics Business Unit Infectious Diseases (ID) located in Vienna, Austria. The position is field based.

The role focusses on developing key accounts for Abbott’s products and services in partnership with other business functions. In this role you will implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Developing markets and customers, winning new customers to achieve sales targets
  • Developing and executing of the Abbott RDx ID product portfolio
  • Preparing proposals for customers as well as completing contracts
  • Commincating features and benefits, solutions and value, total cost of ownership for assigned products with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business
  • Monitoring and reporting on competitive activities
  • Performing product trainings for customers within region
  • Participating in round tables, conferences, exhibitions, etc. on national and international level
  • Maintaining customer visits data and other sales activities in CRM system

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in laboratory diagnostics sales in Austria
  • Detailed understanding of the laboratory and diagnostics industries
  • Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organization
  • Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices
  • Experience in working on strategic topics
  • Demonstrated ability to win new business, maintain positive people relationships and build strong links with customers
  • Ability to work results-orientated, both independently and within a team environment
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with the ability to determine solutions for customers
  • Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm
  • Excellent organization, facilitator and presentation skills
  • Strong communicator with a high persuasive power and interpersonal skills
  • Driven by objectives, solutions, meet the deadlines and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Willingness to travel (70 – 80%)
