Your role encompasses the overall commercial responsibility of our current and future diabetes/metabolic health portfolio in Belgium & Luxemburg at primary care level. You are engaging and indirect leading sales representatives, responsible for the execution of customer facing activities and delivering unparalleled customer experience in Belgium & Luxembourg. This position requires an engaged leader with a cross functional mindset, a great TEAM collaboration, a strategic thinker, and an overarching external focus.Your primary activities are:Capacity to engage and indirect lead a team in an empowering culture:

  • Indirect leadership of multiple sales representatives
  • Engage and mobilize the team to achieve the sales objectives
  • Achieve optimal results on a national level by understanding the regional differences, setting priorities, effectively analyzing, and being able to remove roadblocks for the team
  • Implement the plan, monitor execution and results, and adapt when needed to accomplish business objectives
  • Organize meetings/group learning experiences and ensure follow-up of the taken actions
  • Evaluate and help in the development of the members of the sales team on soft skills and capabilities (selling skills, product knowledge, territory management, multichannel mix, etc.)

Deliver exceptional customer experiences with the team

  • Understand marketing strategy, brand strategies and SPP techniques
  • Be the catalyst for a great message implementation
  • Make sure that implementation is focused on adding value to the customer (HCP, caregiver, patient)
  • Embrace multichannel touchpoints by salesforce by actively integrate and stimulate digital activities and touchpoints. Optimize the channel mix when defining the sales action and implementation plans
  • Understand, evaluate and if necessary, adapt the sales organization at primacy care level to deliver exceptional customer experience

Cross-functional mindset and team collaboration

  • Give input in product strategies and tactics through the customer team governance. Be the internal voice of the customer
  • Active participation, with medical and marketing, in defining and optimizing activity implementation and customer program needs
  • Ensure identification and notification towards the concerned internal services, of the adverse events, complaints or counterfeiting, encountered. Ensure compliance to the sample management process
  • Close collaboration, communication and sharing practices with your internal and external colleagues Sales Managers as you are together responsible for the overall sales results

Ability to embrace an external focus

  • Reassure execution of the customer feedback surveys and install a customer focused mindset within the sales team
  • Be the intermediate contact person between professional health care associations and marketing when needed and requested, especially in the context of cross industry initiatives (sponsorships, congresses, …)
  • Act as solely sales connection person with Patient Advocacy groups upon request from marketing in the context of potential educational end disease-oriented collaboration or project implementations
  • Your role is at least 40% field based

Profile/Enablers:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related fields with special interest in health/health care
  • Successful experience in managing and developing direct reports in a commercial setting with a minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • “Achieve results with people” is your basic internal driver
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drive for continuous improvement, fed by strong analytical and problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to make an impact and influence others
  • Customer oriented and having the capacity to hold high level exchanges with customers
  • Digitally savvy
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
