Our Teledyne FLIR Maritime division is a world leader in the fast-growing industry of thermal maritime system for the yachting, commercial & defense industry. We design, develop, and manufacture cutting-edge products, and work with industry leaders and government partners to deliver innovative, reliable, and easy to operate products and solutions. www.teledyneflir.com/maritime .

As the Area Sales Manager, you will develop our business and find new approaches to grow in new markets while maintaining our strong position in market throughout our partners in the Mediterranean / Middle East area.

Together with our EMEAI sales team, you define our regional strategy and make sure we meet the needs of a varied pool of customers in a multitude of markets with their own local rules and regulations.

You’re responsible for crafting your own plan and executing on it. You will work alongside a small team of highly competent individuals. As part of your role, you will be interacting with a range of professionals, including ranked members of the military, company executives, government officials, engineers, and the media. In addition, you work closely with our distributors, as well as sales agents with local knowledge about the markets you operate in. Our team ensures that our partners have what they need to present and sell our products and solutions.

You must be comfortable to manage and communicate the big picture, in addition to learning about and becoming intimately familiar with the granular details.

Your job in plain text

  • In concert with business development colleagues, establishing strategies for aggressively growing sales throughout assigned territory that are in concert with other initiatives in Teledyne FLIR Marine

  • Establishing strategic plans for developing new markets with new customers to promote growing sales with these accounts

  • Producing quotes for customer opportunities and actively maintaining all quotes and opportunities within the company’s CRM database

  • Working closely with the company Program and Product Management teams to address technical and schedule needs of assigned customers

  • This job is onsite/hybrid/remote/field

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have:

  • Substantial experience from working with dealer networks

  • Significant experience from sales throughout the Mediterranean & Middle East territory

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

  • Solution orientation and resourcefulness

  • Experience in the Maritime Electronic Navigation & Security industry.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% at peak times

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written

  • Arab speaking preferable but not essential
