In Smart Infrastructure, Electrification, and Automation Transmission Sales we are a small team focusing on UK&I Transmission EPC’s and End Users. We work within a wider sales community serving other sectors and our main offerings include engineered Transmission Protection and Control solutions and MV/LV primary equipment. For technical support we have Product and Engineering Managers, as well as Tendering, Operations and other functional supporting teams.
As standard we work a flexible 37 hour week, where we expect our people to manage their diaries via hybrid working to suit their teams and deliverables. The main office for this team is located in Hebburn (near Newcastle upon Tyne) however we offer modern conferencing meeting arrangements when working remotely. Typically client meetings are remote via conferencing but periodical visits and attendance at site locations or industry events is required which may include overnight stays.

Areas of Responsibility:
Relationship management with UK&I EPC Electrical contractors for opportunity pipeline and Enquiry/ Purchase Order tracking to meet growing annual targets.
Complete any pre-qualification activities
Liaise with the bid teams for on-going customer requirements and communications. Also to support the bid team where necessary e.g. review of submission documentation.
Provide input to pricing levels, based on historical data and market intelligence.
Identify key prospects and develop strategies for must win opportunities which may include presenting risks and opportunities to senior management to gain business support.
Maintain Salesforce based CRM for contacts, prospects, forecasts and targets.

Have at least one of the following:
Have sales experience in a professional environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of Secondary Protection & Control Project Delivery
A Secondary Design engineer looking for a career change.
Have experience working in a Substation or Energy site environment.
No specific qualifications are essential for this role, however Degree/ HND in Electrical Engineering would be preferable.
