The department is central to the success of the property, driving profits while maintaining the highest standards of luxury and service.Job SummaryAs Sales Manager Benelux, your role is to acquire, grow, and retain selected accounts to maximize the total revenue potential for Rosewood Amsterdam. You will be responsible for qualifying and prospecting new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding existing accounts within defined market segments. Your deep understanding of the market, strategic sales approach, and commitment to excellence will be key to achieving our revenue goals.Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Strategy:
  • Understand the competitive market and research selected markets and accounts to gain insights into customer buying behavior.
  • Compile intelligence on market segments and corporate accounts, tailoring sales presentations to align with customer preferences and priorities.
  • Identify key players in corporate accounts and develop strategies to maximize revenue conversion for Rosewood Amsterdam.
  • Sales and Client Management:
  • Be well-versed in the facilities and benefits of Rosewood Amsterdam, presenting these effectively to clients.
  • Plan and execute sales calls to optimize revenue conversion, focusing on priorities agreed upon with the Director of Sales.
  • Present individual sales strategies as part of a quarterly personal business plan to the Managing Director (MD).
  • Representation and Networking:
  • Represent Rosewood Amsterdam at tradeshows, roadshows, sales training, and events, acting as a positive ambassador for the brand.
  • Maintain grooming standards in line with the expectations set by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
  • Capture timely and relevant customer data in sales databases, ensuring data integrity as per Rosewood Amsterdam’s standards.
  • Attend and participate in regular sales meetings, providing updates on sales account activity.
  • Present weekly and monthly sales reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing, reflecting account management performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Contribute to the Sales and Marketing Plan by providing data on market conditions, account dynamics, new business, and retention strategies.
  • Share important account updates with hotel team members across departments to ensure alignment and maximize account potential.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform all other duties relevant to the successful management of key accounts.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Solid experience in the luxury hotel sector, with a strong understanding of key markets.
  • Extensive network of social and business connections within relevant key markets.
  • General Skills:
  • Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in performing job functions.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, remaining calm and using good judgment.
  • Ability to understand and anticipate guest service needs.
  • Team player who works cohesively with co-workers and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • Language:
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are preferred.
