Sales Engineer – Plastics Portfolio

Location: Belgium

Position Overview:
A leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and technical solutions is seeking a highly motivated Sales Engineer to join their growing team, focusing on their Plastics Portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional with a background in plastics engineering or chemistry who is eager to develop their sales skills and contribute to business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, providing technical support, and building strong client relationships within the plastics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

* Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, maintain and grow existing customer accounts, and support the sales team in achieving revenue targets.
* Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and guidance on plastics products, assist in developing customized solutions, and collaborate with technical and R&D teams.
* Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and provide feedback to the product development team.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for customer inquiries.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
* 1-2 years of experience in a technical sales or customer-facing role within the plastics or related industry.
* Strong understanding of plastics materials, applications, and market dynamics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
* Fluency in Dutch and French; knowledge of English is a plus.
* Willingness to travel within the region as required.
