NBCUniversal is a leader in providing entertainment programming to the US and International marketplaces.  The NBCUniversal Television Distribution division is responsible for the global distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television throughout the world.  This includes distribution of current and library theatrical and television product in the pay, free, basic, SVOD and new media markets. 

The Sales Assistant is responsible for all aspects of sales support before, during and after the deal negotiation process.  The role also provides departmental administrative support, including coordinating marketing material, product management, and liaising internally and externally to ensure smooth operation of existing deals.  This role is client-facing and is a vital part of the team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Overseeing end to end deal completion including inputting Field Orders (deal terms) into internal systems and processing deal amendments, episode updates, payment schedules, film allocations and send through synopsis information and series listings when requested;

  • Prepare product availability reports across all genres of programming including Feature Films, Scripted and Non-Scripted Series, Documentaries and TV/Film Specials including creating curated avails for clients upon request

  • Regularly updating the market with programming sell sheets and research information, product pitching and pro-actively gathering customer programming feedback and recording on programme tracking document

  • Working with the products team in London and LA to create localised summary updates to be sent to clients, as well as updating the Non-scripted presentation on a quarterly basis and presenting to Clients

  • Work closely with a number of internal departments including, marketing team to ensure client support and provision of marketing materials, liaising with finance team regarding payment and billing, working with legal team to ensure contracts are signed and liaising with materials team regarding supply of materials to broadcasters

  • Keeping on top of industry updates, channel/platform launches and overall market intel

  • Liaise with clients with respect to screener/promo access and client product queries.

  • Liaising with the Administration & Budget Manager to assist with producing planned and ad hoc budget updates and update budget reports and system (Salesforce) as necessary.

     

Administrative Support

  • Administrative support for the Vice President and the Director Sales Liaison, and other members of the UK & Eire team including:

  • Manage calendar and coordinate meetings/conference calls;

  • Provide administrative support for various projects including PowerPoint and other presentation materials;

  • Process Expense reports, book taxis, handle incoming/outgoing telephone calls

     

     

Markets, Travel and Events

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and schedules for UK & Eire Team

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and social events for markets (LA Screenings, and MIPCOM).

  • Arrange client events, meetings, general client entertainment (dinners/premieres etc); arranging standalone client screenings including preparing and sending invites, liaising with the projection room, booking the screening room, ordering catering, liaising with marketing, liaising with product and managing rsvp lists.

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent and/or experience within a media environment is preferred but not essential.

  • Passion for and knowledge of TV & Film industries.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Knowledge of UK Television Market an advantage.

  • Exceptional organisational skills essential: reliable, extremely detail focused, strong sense of initiative with the ability to multitask.

  • Strong customer focus, committed to adding value and best possible satisfaction of customer needs. Cultivates a deep, proactive understanding of customer requirements and goals.

  • Ability to effectively collect, collate and present market/client/product intelligence to senior management and internal teams.

  • A team player with great interpersonal skills and who is enthusiastic, inquisitive, creative and driven.

  • Able to balance and prioritise a busy workload in a fast-moving environment.

  • Experience of working in an administrative role.
