The Role

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) is a key sales channel for BT, putting focus on small and medium business customers. Our purpose in SME is to be the engine for growth for UK small businesses, ensuring they have brilliant solutions to help their businesses thrive.

In a busy market, the Inside Sales Advisor is responsible for developing and growing business with a portfolio of SME customers. Through building strong relationships with key customer contacts, the Inside Sales Advisors will achieve (and exceed) targets. A hunger to learn will be key in this role. Alongside a desire to try new things to help customers engage readily with BT.

You’ll have the following responsibilities:

• Work with a defined account base of small SME customers, who typically have single sites and relatively simple order needs.

• Typically sell BT & EE’s standard products – across mobile, connectivity, and IP voice.

• Develop successful, sustainable, and profitable relationships within the defined account base. Use strong communication and influencing skills to build relationships with key customer contacts and decision-makers.

• Thrive in a target-driven, customer-facing environment to achieve targets and KPIs. Targets may include customer contact activity, pipeline health and SOV/ revenue growth.

• Keep sales tools and systems up to date and well organized with accurate customer information, to support effective decision making and to comply with GDPR.

• Identify both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within the account base

• Influence decision makers to make timely decisions that help us achieve the business outcomes
