Working in tandem with field sales staff, the Sales Assistant prepares quotations, enters orders, and manages customer orders from A to Z. He/she informs customers about the various services or products, prices, and deliveries, and ensures that the transaction is completed within the proposed timeframe.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Assistant manages relations between customers, sales staff, and head office – factories, Engineering Department, Methods, suppliers. He/she must have a certain commercial sense, as he/she is in constant contact with the outside world and acts as an intermediary between the company and its customers.

Missions

-Drawing up and relaunching commercial offers (quotations, business proposals, etc.)
-Processing orders through to delivery and liaising with logistics and invoicing.
-Handle customer telephone calls and communicate with sales

staff.
-Respond to all internal and external requests relating to current

projects.
 

Technical Skills

-Mastery of the Office pack
-ERP skills (ideally AXAPTA and/or SAP)
-Good knowledge of administrative management (quotations, orders, deliveries, etc.)

Check prices, margins, and inconsistencies,

style=”list-style-type:circle”-
-Check that the customer request is complete (order number, delivery address, delivery time, etc.).
-Be able to add missing products if necessary.
style=”list-style-type:square”-
-Be comfortable with figures, calculations, and conversions. Ability to use product configurators.
-Knowledge of the building/construction or industrial sector. Technical aptitude.
-Supplier orders.
 

Know How

style=”list-style-type:square”-
-Although autonomous, sales assistants must have good people skills to manage customer and supplier relations as effectively as possible. To deal with potential problems, such as debt collection, they need to be conciliatory and diplomatic. The job also requires negotiating skills.
-A taste for teamwork.
-Be flexible and responsive.
 

Qualification

-BTS NRC (negotiation and customer relations), BTS business assistant, DUT GEA (business and administration management), DUT marketing method.
-first experience on similar work required
 

-Speaking English is a plus.
