At Kirklees College we are always looking for new talent, and welcome applications from all sectors.Whether in a teaching & learning role or in one of our specialised Business Support functions, you’ll be involved in nurturing and developing the next generation of construction workers, engineers, health workers and countless others.We’re already a successful college, but we’re continually striving to be better and do better – be part of our story!In the role of Safeguarding Advisor, you’ll predominantly be based at Springfield and your focus will be on ensuring that all learners and staff are appropriately safeguarded.Your key responsibilities will be to promote a joined-up approach to safeguarding issues across campuses, ensuring that risks are identified and managed and acting as a central point of contact with statutory agencies and voluntary agencies to ensure that learners and staff are fully safeguarded.Ideally, you’ll have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in Safeguarding. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.Due to the nature of our work, it’s essential you’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.We believe learning is not just for our students: it’s an important part of working here too.
