The Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership is a dynamic and innovative Conservation Partnership
working within the varied and beautiful landscape of the Stour Valley. A rare opportunity has
arisen to join our friendly and professional team. Work will focus on ‘Our Stour’ community and
school-based initiatives, and assisting with river restoration projects, but ideally you should
be able to provide support across a wide range of countryside and community projects.

You will be self-motivated, have experience of working with young people and local communities.
You should have some practical conservation skills and knowledge of nature conservation,
especially river based. Communication and project management skills, initiative and tact are
also important. You should be able to balance multiple projects within time restraints. The
ability to travel is essential.

The post could be job shared if there are suitable candidates wishing to work part-time.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a
statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a
command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job
requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person
Specification.
