Within the framework of project activities – on different clients on domains such as Manufacturing, Automotive and Retail based on SAP platform – you will be integrated into the CGI project management team and will be involved in project management missions.

For our office in Milan we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst specialized in the retail sector.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As an experienced Retail Business Analyst, you will support our Retail, Customer & Services clients in their transformations.

You will act as the interface between the business teams (Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Controlling) and the project teams to which you will be assigned. You will be required to work on different types of projects (Agile, semi-Agile or V-cycle, depending on the customer and the assignment).

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and engaging the right people to define requirements,
  • Leading engaging workshops to ensure objectives are met and manage all stakeholders,
  • Keeping a technology watch on any new value-added solutions for customers and acting as a link between business needs and the development team,
  • Documenting your work, from questions to project hypotheses and defined business processes,
  • Being the point of contact of business needs by ensuring that clear and realistic requirements are established,
  • Representing the business throughout the project life cycle,
  • Advising the business of process/system risks and propose alternative solutions,
  • Working with the architecture team to understand the roadmap and draw up application acceptance specifications.

In addition, you will be asked to develop our service offerings around process optimisation and operational performance management, as well as helping to draft responses to calls for tender.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

You have a minimum of 5 years‘ higher education (Master’s degree, engineering school, etc.) and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in functional expertise, ideally in the retail sector.

  • Ability to explain and formalise to suit your audience,
  • Bold, with a spirit of initiative and a sense of cooperation,
  • Good digital culture and regular monitoring,
  • Used to working in international contexts and/or with a very good command of professional English.

You have skills in Agile practices, ideation/innovation techniques (such as design thinking) and lean management methodologies.
