Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Salary: A‚¬34,000-A‚¬35,000, gross per year

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our upscale dining venue. You will embody warmth, attention to detail, and the passion that makes dining memorable. You will lead a dedicated team, champion quality and consistency, and ensure every guest leaves having experienced something genuinely special.

Key Responsibilities:

* Own the guest experience, ensuring every service feels warm, attentive, and consistent with high hospitality standards
* Ensure execution of service standards, operational policies, and the venue’s identity
* Lead with strong operational presence during peak shifts, events, and key service moments
* Oversee both floor and bar operations, ensuring service quality, product consistency, ambience, and team coordination
* Manage team scheduling from planning to publication, ensuring shifts are well-organized and aligned with business needs
* Control absences in HRIS and review time records before payroll deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up
* Lead team management processes: onboarding, performance reviews, vacation planning, and contract renewals
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards by monitoring HACCP protocols and enforcing hygiene practices
* Ensure proper opening and closing procedures, including venue readiness, briefings, setup, stock checks, and documentation

Key requirements:

* At least 3 years of experience in hospitality, with proven leadership in high-quality, guest-focused operations
* Strong experience managing both restaurant floor and bar service
* Bar & wine knowledge, including wine pairing
* Proven ability to increase average ticket value
* Confident leading busy services, events, and high-pressure moments with calm, structure, and presence
* Strong understanding of FOH and BOH coordination, team management, scheduling, HRIS routines, and payroll processes
* Inspiring, supportive, and decisive leadership style that motivates and aligns a diverse team
* Strong sense of service consistency and guest experience
* Natural alignment with warm, quality-driven hospitality culture
* Confident working in a quality-focused restaurant environment with appreciation for product quality and seasonality
* Clear and charismatic communicator who connects easily with staff, guests, and leadership
* Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Solid understanding of HACCP, health and safety, sanitation, and operational standards
* Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
* Reliable, guest-centric, and hands-on, leading with confidence, care, and consistency
