Job environment

Job title of the line manager: Central Methods Director Title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To coordinate the (DME) methods and industrialization teams in to ensure that performance of deliverables. To put in place the work standards and upskill the teams in accordance with strategic guidelines defined by the executive management team. To coordinate the tolerance, metrology and non-destructive testing experts involved in ongoing developments.

Scope of activities

Perform some or all of the following activities:

Contribute to definition of the Group’s objectives for the methods-industrialization activity Deploy the defined strategy and translate it into roadmaps and action plans within the scope Methods-industrialization, tolerancing, metrology and NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Establish the methods and industrialization teams necessary to achieve the projects’ objectives. If necessary, recruit the service providers required to absorb load peaks Manage the teams’ activity: distribution and supervision of work progress, technical expert, management of absences, management of individual appraisals, guarantee the level of quality of the team and the achievement of objectives in terms of costs, deadlines, safety and quality monitoring Develop the workforce’s methods-industrialization skills (management, business and technical experts, lean) Ensure production of the production files by the teams (ranges, nomenclatures, FI, programs, STL) and adequate control files Ensure implementation and application by the methods and industrialization teams of quality, safety, environment and security rules as well as employment law Ensure communication with customers and/or suppliers Escalate any anomalies, productivity discrepancy, technical problems, etc. to their his/her management. Complete activity dashboards Participate in continuous improvement actions Ensure effective communication on the different focuses: internal, external, vertical and horizontal Develop synergies between the various sites, the SeeD and Launch Office teams, and engineering entities (design office, AME, tools) Lead and manage a team, developing employees’ skills according to changes to roles and the organization’s needs Activities need to be adapted for employees on work-study placements (professionalization contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to be in line with their training.
