- You will work in a project related to sensor calibration for autonomous systems which operate in harsh industrial environments.
- You will develop methods for detecting calibration mismatches, and devise systems to overcome these calibration mismatches
- You will work with a wide variety of sensor modalities including vision, Lidar, Radar and Sonar.
- You have the opportunity to pursue a PhD in fields related to machine vision, robotics and sensor data processing
- You will work in close relationship with various industrial stakeholders who will be implementing the developed algorithms in their products.
- You can take up a limited number of teaching assignments if you are interested
If you hold a PhD, at post-doctoral level following tasks/responsibilities will be assigned to you:
- You will work in a project related to sensor calibration for autonomous systems which operate in harsh industrial environments, in which you will develop methods for detecting calibration mismatches, and devise systems to overcome these calibration mismatches
- You will work with a wide variety of sensor modalities including vision, Lidar, Radar and Sonar.
- You initiate new research projects in the domain of robotics and sensor data processing, in close collaboration with Flanders Make and with industrial stakeholders
- You supervise a small number of PhD students working on PhDs in the fields described in this job posting
- You can take up a limited number of teaching assignments if you are interested
Profile
- You hold either a Master degree or a PhD in computer engineering, electrical engineering or machine learning.
- You can demonstrate excellent study results.
