Offer DescriptionWe are seeking to recruit a researcher (PhD), for the KISON group of the IN3 (Internet Interdisciplinary Institute) of the UOC.The aim of the project is to address the growing problem of the spread of false or malicious content through networks through the use of tools that analyse this information and allow its possible malicious identification for subsequent filtering. Focusing on four keys themes outlined in INCIBE’s public invitation, the project emphasizes data security, solutions to prevent malicious use of data, innovative systems for security analysis of IoT devices, tracking systems for crypto-transactions and innovative Cybersecurity solutions for 5G.The selected person will participate in the DANGER project with the design of cryptographic solutions (multi-party, homomorphic encryption, post-quantum) that can promote sustainability of cybersecurity in IoT scenarios.Responsibilities:

  • Search and analyse academic articles.
  • Design cybersecurity solutions for distributed IoT scenarios.
  • Implement and evaluate the proposed solutions.
  • Write research papers.
  • Participate in applying for European projects.

The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary full time contract until December 2025.The reference headquarters will be located at 22@, Rbla. Del Poblenou, 156, in Barcelona. You will also have the possibility of teleworking, depending on organisational needs and the nature of the tasks.RequirementsResearch Field Computer science » Informatics Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

  • PhD profile in the area of Networks and Information Technologies.
  • Minimum similar experience of one year performing tasks as those in the offer.
  • Essential knowledge of Networks, Data Security, Applied Cryptography and Latex.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.
  • English level from B2 of the common framework of reference, or equivalent to the First Certificate.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Catalan and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of homomorphic encryption, multi-party computing, machine learning, MATLAB and Python.
  • Knowledge of the UOC educational model.
