Tinahones Madueño Responsible Investigator: José Manuel Jiménez Guardeño Venue: IBIMA Bionand Platform – Located at Málaga Tech Park Headquarters Number of places: 1 Functions to develop: – Active research participating in the group’s lines of research, collaborating in experimental designs, planning experiments and carrying out different techniques with the supervision of the PI. The group’s research lines include the following areas: • Innate immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection and mechanisms of viral immunopathology. • Study of the interaction between HIV-1 and the interferon response: investigating host factors and evasion strategies. • Study of human immune factors that influence the severity of respiratory viral infections. – Data collection and contribution to the analysis and interpretation of results using statistical tools and specialized analysis. – Writing reports, summaries and scientific articles for the presentation and publication of results. – Attendance at conferences and scientific meetings to share findings and establish collaborations with other scientists. Minimum requirements: Graduate or Graduate with a Degree = 300 ECTS assigned to Level 3 (Master) or Graduate with a Master’s Degree (= 300 ECTS) or equivalent in Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and degrees related to Biomedicine). Valuable Requirements: Obtaining a bachelor’s/master’s degree in the last three years (1 point). Work experience in research (1 point for every 6 months up to a maximum of 2 points). Verifiable previous experience in (0.5 points for every 3 months up to a maximum of 2 points): • Mammalian cell culture techniques. • Molecular and cellular biology techniques (Western-Blot, RT-PCR, qPCR, confocal microscopy and flow cytometry). Experience in preparing scientific articles published in magazines (0.5 points per publication up to a maximum of 1 point). Knowledge of English with certified level B2 (1 point). The aforementioned requirements must be accredited by: Qualification by virtue of which you apply for this offer, or personal academic certification that shows the studies completed, academic record, curriculum vitae and documentary accreditation of the curricular merits provided (certificate of work life, certificates participation in projects, publications, conference certificates). Contract details: Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011) Category: Carlos III – Master Weekly hours: 100% (35 hours/week) Gross annual remuneration: €27,626 Estimated duration: 12 months extendable – The contract is linked to the duration of the project / activity / financing. Other considerations: Based on the points obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which their academic record and training, previous experience working in level 3 biosafety laboratories will be positively valued. , communication skills, aptitude for work and skills, with a maximum of 3 points.
