Offer DescriptionRecruitment of an R&D technician to support research activities in the branches of Arts and Humanities.Collaborator in the tasks of the specified (project/agreement) of research.The Office for the Coordination of Research Centers of UDC is the operational unit responsible for the functioning of UDC’s most excellent structures in the field of R&D. It reports organically and functionally to the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer, under the direction of the Strategic Director of the Office.Among other functions, the Technical Management Unit of this office is responsible for analyzing the local, regional, national, and international context to identify strategic niches and opportunities for the R&D centers and units. This aims to enhance the acquisition of financial resources from diversified sources, define and implement an ecosystem that stimulates research and transfer activities, and increase collaboration with local businesses. This positions the research centers as driving elements of a proactive culture that enables the exploration of new public and private funding sources and a new transfer framework with various stakeholders.To fulfill the assigned functions and address the arising needs in this field of action, it is necessary to have personnel with a proven track record in the field of knowledge and the state of research in Arts and Humanities. From the professional field, the candidate must have demonstrable experience and capacity in the management of research projects in these fields, from their planning and evaluation, through their direction, execution, management and scientific dissemination.Based on the above, the support tasks to be performed with this contract are:
- Analyze the research and innovation ecosystem of UDC, primarily in the fields of Arts and Humanities. Diagnosis, analysis of capacities, and the state of this sector.
- Explore new external funding opportunities for research projects and development of research centers and groups, both nationally and internationally.
- Develop action proposals to improve UDC’s indicators and performance in these fields, especially in relation to projects.
- Facilitate expert and targeted communication channels between UDC research centers and units in these fields, allowing the creation of collaborative projects between different research centers and groups to promote the interdisciplinarity.
- Disseminate experiences, best practices, actions, and resources that enhance the research capabilities of the Centers and groups.
- Build a performance indicator panel for UDC’s R&D in the aforementioned fields. This panel will take into account parameters such as scientific production and number of projects, among others.
- Support the Strategic Management of the Management Unit in the preparation of the Annual Plan and the Final Report.

Research experience (maximum 25 points)▪ Contracts for research activity in public entities, creditable for a minimum of 1 year, in the field of Arts and Humanities.The tasks that must have been performed for the calculation may include: ▫ Project development and writing. ▫ Project management. ▫ Results reports. Maximum 25 points. 1 point per month worked (including the minimum of 1 year required) Documentation required: Work history and/or copies of contracts. This must be accompanied by a statement from the candidate specifying the functions performed during the term of each of these contracts.Research activity (maximum 15 points)▪ Scientific production will be valued through publications in the field of Arts and Humanities as author or coauthor of books, books chapters and /or articles in journals (maximum 10 points): ▫ 1 point for each published book. ▫ 0,5 points for each published book chapter. ▫ 0,25 points for each published article Documentation required: A responsible declaration must be submitted indicating in a standardized citation format the publications claimed, specifically indicating which are books, book chapters and articles so that they can be verified.▪ The ability to carry out research projects in the field of arts and humanities will be valued (maximum 5 points) 1 point for each research project directed or as principal investigator of the project. Documentation required: certificates or supporting documents attesting participation as director or principal investigator in the project. Personal interview (maximum 25 points) Candidates scoring above 60 points in total merit will be interviewed. The score to pass this interview phase has to be higher than 10 points.
