Offer DescriptionGrant/funding reference: BERCE_2022-2027Job title: Research support technicianResearch line / Scientific-technical services: Computational ForensicsTASKS TO BE PERFORMED:The person to be hired will join Dr. Ibáñez’s work team, focused on the development of advanced artificial intelligence tools and techniques in the field of Forensic Sciences, particularly in facial identification and video and image analysis. The tasks to be performed will be linked to the participation of the person to be hired within the team and his/her involvement as a research support technician in the area of Forensic Anthropology. More specifically, the person hired will carry out tasks of:
- Participation in existing lines of research in the field of Craniofacial Identification: Forensic Facial Comparison and Craniofacial Superposition.
- Development of tools for forensic facial comparison, using artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms
- Design and development of solutions for video and image processing
- Optimization of processing algorithms through concurrent and parallel programming
- Proposal of innovative solutions and alternatives in the field of image processing and deep learning that can open new lines of research or improve existing ones
- Support for the generation of scientific-technical documentation associated with the project The technologies required to carry out the tasks described are:
- Programming Languages: Rust, Python, Typescript
- Frontend: TAURI, REACT, REACT-REDUX, REACT-ROUTER
- Machine Learning and Data Processing: ONNXRuntime, pyTorch, OpenCV, FFMPEG
- Version Control: Git, GitLab

- Professional experience in the field of Craniofacial Identification: 1 point per month worked (max. 15 pts)
Specific experience
- Specific experience in the development of graphical interfaces and integration of artificial intelligence and deep learning algorithms: 1 point per month (max. 15 pts)
Specific knowledge
- Knowledge of Rust, Python, Typescript (advanced level). These will be assessed based on the hours of training (1 point for each course) and the hours of project work (1 point for each month of work). Maximum 10 points
Language skills
- English: B1/B2 (5 points), C1 (7.5 points), C2 (10 points)
