Offer DescriptionGrant/funding reference: ED431B 2024/14Job title: Grants for the consolidation and structuring of competitive research units and other promotion actions in SUG universities.Research line / Scientific-technical services: Research supportTasks to be performed: Support in field and laboratory tasks in marine research projects of the BIOCOST research group.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Biological sciences Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsBachelor´s degree, University degree, architecture, engineering, diploma, technical architecture or technical engineering.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaSelection and evaluation criteria:1.-Academic background (maximum 35 points):– Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Marine Sciences: up to 5 points.– Master’s degree in Marine Biology: max. 10 points.– Master’s degree in other related specialities in the biology of organisms and systems: max. 5 points.– Doctorate (preferably thesis topic related to aspects of marine benthic flora and vegetation diversity of Galicia): max. 15 points.– Other qualifications: 0 points.2.- Scientific experience (maximum 35 points; preferably merits in subjects related to studies on the diversity of marine benthic flora and vegetation of Galicia):– Scientific publications (maximum 20 points): max. 5 points/publication.– Participation in projects or research contracts (maximum 5 points): max. 2.5 points/project or contract.-Books/book chapters (maximum 10 points): max. 5 points/item.3.- Qualification in scuba diving (maximum 10 points). Scoring according to the level of qualification and experience in sampling of marine benthic flora in Galicia4.- Mapping and GIS knowledge (maximum 5 points)5.-Personal interview (maximum 15 points). The suitability of the curriculum vitae for the job will be assessed.Only candidates who score at least 60 points in the sections “Academic background” + “Scientific experience” will be interviewed.Failure to appear for the interview will be cause for exclusion of the candidate.The call may be declared void if no candidate reaches a minimum score of 60 points in the sections “Academic background” + “Scientific experience”.The merits claimed by the participants must be documented and fulfilled at the end of the deadline for submission of applications.At the end of the process, a waiting list will be created in the final decision with those applicants who achieve a minimum score of 65 points.Selection processWHERE TO APPLY: UDC online services site.
