Offer DescriptionGrant/funding reference: 851179Job title: Supramolecular engineering of biologically inspired peptide nanostructures – SENSEResearch line / Scientific-technical services: Peptide materials.Tasks to be performedThe research support tasks to be carried out by the beneficiary of this contract will be as follows: Synthesis of peptides and their modification by bioorthogonal reactions. Characterisation of the compounds prepared by HPLCMS, UV-Vis spectroscopy and circular dichroism. Study of the behaviour of the compounds synthesised as nanomaterials by electron microscopy and spectroscopic techniques. Candidates are expected to have an interest in multidisciplinary work and motivation to learn.This contract, although indefinite, it is estimated that the tasks specified above, corresponding to work package 2 of the project, will be completed by 31/07/2025.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsAcademic qualification: Degree in Chemistry, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or similar.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaSelection and evaluation criteriaBlock 1 – Training:– Academic record (maximum 2 points). In the case of other degrees, the score will be weighted according to the number of credits of each degree as follows: (CT1*NT1 + CT2*NT2)/(CT1 + CT2); where CT: number of credits of the degree and NT is the qualification of the degree.Block 2 – Experience:– Experience in synthesis of peptides and their characterisation (SPPS and HPLC-MS) (maximum 2 points; 0.5 points/year).– Experience in bioorthogonal chemistry (maximum 1 point; 0.25 points/year).– Experience in the use of spectroscopic characterisation techniques (UV-Vis, circular dichroism, fluorescence, etc.) (maximum 1 point; 0.25 points/year).– Experience in the use of microscopic techniques (TEM, SEM, AFM, etc.) (maximum 2 points; 0.5 points/year).Block 3 – Personal interview:A personal interview will be held for those candidates who achieve a minimum score of 5 points in blocks 1 and 2 (maximum 2 points).Candidates who do not reach the minimum score of 5 points in blocks 1 and 2 will be excluded from the waiting list.The call may be declared deserted if the candidates do not reach a minimum score of 5 points in the selection criteria detailed in Blocks 1 and 2.Selection processWHERE TO APPLY: UDC online services site.
