Offer DescriptionCollaborator on activities related to the project/agreement stated.This contract is announced within the framework of the Joint Research Centre project “The shipyard of the future” (hereinafter CEMI) in which the University of A Coruña and the company Navantia collaborate.The object of this contract is the collaboration in the research activities that will carried out within the CEMI project.The candidate must fulfil the following requirements:  GENERAL REQUIREMENTS1.- At the time of hiring, the candidate cannot have an employment relationship with the UDC, nor he/she will have had it with Navantia in the six months prior to signing the contract.2.- All candidates must meet the following requirements on the deadline for submitting applications, and keep them during the term of the contract:a) Spanish nationality or any other nationality to which the norms of the Spanish State attribute equal rights for labour effects in the public Administration.b) The required Degree, and comply with the other requirements indicated in the call.c) Be aged minimum sixteen, and not exceed, if applicable, the maximum age for compulsory retirement.d) Possess the functional capacity necessary to carry out the corresponding functions or tasks described in this call.e) The applicant must not be separated from the service of any Public Administration or the constitutional or statutory bodies of the Autonomous Communities, nor be in a situation of absolute or special disqualification for employment or public office by court order, for access to body or scale of civil servant or to perform functions similar to those, in which said person had been separated or disqualified.In case of not being of Spanish nationality, the applicant shall be required not to be disqualified or in an equivalent situation, nor to have been subjected to a disciplinary or equivalent sanction that prevents, in his/her State, under the same terms, access to public employment.3.- The hiring of foreigners from non-EU countries, which will be formalized for the sole purpose of carrying out research or technical tasks, will require the presentation, at the time of signing the contract, of the residence permission and work authorization for the employee, or the accreditation of the concurrence of cause of exception of the said authorization, in accordance with the organic Law 4/2000, of 11 January, on rights and freedoms of the foreigners in Spain, and their social integration and regulatory dispositions of application.The main tasks of the hired person are related to the following topics:1) Development of discrete events simulation models of shipbuilding processes in Plant Simulation.2) Development of a digital twin of the manufacturing plant and the process using Siemens and / or Unity software.3) Experimentation with the discrete events simulation software, validation of discrete events models, tests in the shipyard and optimization by means of simulation and process optimization algorithms.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Engineering » Project engineering Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalentAdditional InformationEligibility criteriaMaster / Graduate / courses on industrial technologies, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering will be scored.The subjects taken or a bachelor or master thesis done related to discrete events simulation will be scored. Likewise, previous experience on or specific learning (seminars, courses, … ) on these topics will also be scored: Discrete events simulation. Process digital twins. Process optimization. Coding models of industrial processes.It is mandatory to support the merits with the presentation of documents or official statements. Any supporting document must be issued prior to the end of the call period. Only merits related to the profile of the position will be scored. o Academic degree.The average mark of the required degree will be scored up to 5 points (e.g. average mark of the graduate or master’s degree). Average mark:10 or equivalent —- 5 points Average mark: 9 or equivalent —- 4 points Average mark: 8 or equivalent —- 3 points Average mark: 7 or equivalent —- 2 points Average mark: 6 or equivalent —- 1 pointIf the Degree is on the field of Industrial Engineering (industrial technologies engineering, mechanical engineering or MsC in Industrial Engineering), the score will be taken fully. In any other field of knowledge, the score taken will be 5% of the average mark. This score will be multiplied by 1.5 if the candidate holds a dual Degree on the fields of Industrial Engineering and Naval Architecture like the simultaneous program in Industrial Engineering and Naval Architecture. o Additional specific training related to the specific profile of this call, up to 10 points. Master’s degrees and courses related with the call profile: 1 point per each 50 hours, up to 5 points. English level C1, 5 points. o Specific experience (previous positions, R&D projects, etc.) related to the specific profile of the call: op to 30 points. Previous experience in joint research units supported by companies and research institutions: 1 point per month, up to a maximum of 10 points. Experience in previous positions related to the object of this call: 5 points per year, up to 10 points. Previous experience on R&D projects in the field of this call: 5 points per European project, 4 national and 3 regional (up to 10 points). o Experience on scientific publications and research production on the topic of this call, up to 30 points. Only published articles related to the subject of the call will be scored.The score for JCR indexed papers will be 5 points per article Q1, 4 for Q2, 3 for Q3, 2 for Q4 and 1 for articles in journals with other indicators of quality such (SJR, relevant conferences or other similar ones).o Personal interview: the suitability of the curriculum vitae to the job will be assessed. Up to 25 points will be granted. The candidates with the highest score in the previous items, who obtain at least 5 points (only the first three candidates) will be interviewed.
