The selected individual will have the opportunity to work in areas of structured prediction using computationally efficient algorithms. The chosen candidate will work with machine learning, deep learning, and NLP tools.Funding This contract is part of the GAP project (PID2022-139308OA-I00), funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by FEDER, EU.Tasks Assist and support the project’s research team in the following tasks:(i) implement efficient structured prediction analyzers (incremental models, sequential models, etc.),(ii) use such architectures in NLP problems,(iii) evaluate on standard datasets,(iv) analyze and compare the results with existing approaches.RequirementsResearch Field Computer science Education Level Bachelor Degree or equivalentSkills/QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent.Additional InformationEligibility criteriaEvaluation criteriaA. Grade academic record: maximum 2 points. Records of Degrees in Computer Engineering, Data Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent will be valued. It will be valued from a minimum score of 5 out of 10 using linear interpolation, assigning a total of 0.5 points to a score of 5, and 2 points to a score of 10. Files from outside Spain will be valued according to the equivalence table of the Ministry of Education. Degrees not related to the research area of the project will be valued in any case with 0 points.B. Provable scientific experience in topics directly related to the project: maximum 1 point. Up to 0.5 points will be awarded for each article accepted in a peer-reviewed journal or in scientific conferences that are directly related to natural language processing and are of interest to the project and are indexed in indexes such as the JCR or GGS.C. Professional experience: 0.5 points. Up to 0.25 points for every 3 months worked on research projects related to natural language processing, depending on their connection with structured prediction tasks and machine learning.D. Final degree project directly related to the project theme: maximum 0.5 points. Up to 0.5 points will be awarded to a final project clearly and directly related to the content of the position, up to 0.25 points to a final project clearly related to natural language processing, and 0 points in other cases.E. Excellence awards: maximum 1 point. Up to a maximum of 0.5 points for end-of-degree excellence awards. Up to 0.25 points for recognition as the best annual academic record in the degree or other competitive academic excellence awards.F. Other merits: maximum 1 point. Up to 0.25 points for other recognitions and training based on their competitiveness and relation to the project.G. Personal interview: maximum 1.5 points. The adequacy of the candidate’s CV for the position and their ability to achieve the objectives of the project within the stipulated period will be assessed.Part of the interview will be in English.
