Offer DescriptionBurgundy School of Business (BSB) is looking for a talented and highly motivated researcher to join the Wine & Spirits Research Axis, part of the SWSB and the BSB’s Corporate Research Center (CEREN – Centre de Recherche sur les Entreprises – EA 7477).The successful applicant will be based at the SWSB (Dijon, France) and work on two EU-funded projects:

  • “GOOD – AGrOecOlogy for weeDs”(#101083589). GOOD is a 4-year project that will develop an Agroecological Weed Management Network (AWMN) encompassing an ecosystem of 16 Living Labs, aiming to improve knowledge co-creation, farmers’ decision-making, and end-user acceptance of AWM approaches.
  • SHIELD4GRAPE (S4G) – Breeding and integrated pest management strategies to reduce reliance on chemical pesticides in grapevine (#101135088). S4G is a 3-year project that aims to implement sustainable agroecological approaches contributing to the improvement of resilience of the grapevine agri-food systems

As Research Specialist in econometrics and discrete choice modelling, your position is primarily research-based but may also involve teaching assignments. You will contribute to the development of the Research Axis through research of high international quality. In your daily work, you will work closely with colleagues on the GOOD and S4G projects, where you will receive supervision and guidance.Tasks will include the assessment of behavioral and societal factors facilitating or hindering adoption of sustainable practices and consumers’ behaviors, which will be the basis for designing and developing business models as well as policy recommendations and tools. Work will include survey design and data analyses under guidance from project leaders, as well as independent analyses, compiling, publishing and presenting results at international conferences, meetings with the other GOOD and S4G partners and in peer-reviewed scientific articles.You will report to the PI of the GOOD and S4G projects and Associate Professor in Wine Economics and Marketing, and the Coordinator of the Wine & Spirits Research Axis and Full Professor in Experimental Economics.Where to apply E-mail[email protected]RequirementsResearch Field Economics Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications

Specific Requirements

  • You have academic qualifications at the PhD level, preferably within the following areas: economics, econometrics and marketing.
  • Expertise in advanced statistical analysis and survey data, especially in discrete choice modelling and/or conjoint analysis.
  • A publication record in line with the skills requirements, including research papers in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Ability to work independently and within a group, and to take responsibility for the entire research process from ideation to data analysis, publication and presentation of results
  • Fluent spoken and written English (English is the working language)
