About the Position:

As the Research Project Coordinator, your role will be pivotal in engaging with the research team, collaborating with external partners, and liaising with donor representatives to ensure the smooth progression of project activities. You will play a vital role in facilitating communication among various stakeholders, managing the scheduling and execution of project tasks, and contributing significantly to the overall success of our research initiatives. Your professional expertise will be essential in steering these efforts to achieve our strategic objectives efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the seamless coordination of the organization’s research projects on a daily basis.
  • Maintain consistent interaction with the research team to support their activities and address project needs.
  • Work closely with partners to foster effective collaboration and achieve project milestones.
  • Serve as the primary contact for donor representatives, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or requirements.
  • Ensure robust communication channels among various stakeholders to enhance project transparency and engagement.
  • Oversee the scheduling and execution of all project tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established goals.
  • Actively contribute to the strategic planning and execution of projects, significantly impacting the overall success of research initiatives.
  • Coordinate the administrative aspects of the project including documentation, compliance, and coordination of team efforts.
  • Keep track of project progress by maintaining continuous communication with researchers, experts, and other participants.
  • Assist the research manager and team in developing methodologies and preparing reports.
  • Aid in literature review, data collection, and management tasks to support comprehensive research efforts.
  • Manage all communications with donors, including providing periodic updates and detailed reports on project status.
  • Coordinate the editing, formatting, and dissemination of research findings and papers as required.

Qualifications We Are Looking For:

  • A degree in social political sciences, economics, international development, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in research and program management.
  • Familiarity with the civil society sector and the specific context of Syria.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Experience with online data collection and analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated integrity and adherence to organizational standards and policies.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a commitment to participant
  • Understanding security management.
  • Adherence to humanitarian principles and guidelines.
  • Exhibits flexibility, effective time management.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Native Arabic speaker.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
