Further information can be found at:About the roleThe Research Department of Behavioural Science and Health is dedicated to research on how human behaviour impacts health and health outcomes. This role will be based in the Research into Eating, ACtivity and Health (UCL REACH) led by Prof Fisher and Dr Clare Llewellyn facilitating successful running of trials and cohorts.The postholder will be responsible for developing a new dietary behaviour change intervention for adolescents, and collecting and managing cohort data designed to further understanding of the impact of ultra-processed food on health as well as contributing to manuscript and grant writing.This is a full-time post from 1st October 2024 until 30th September 2025 in the first instance. Part-time working and job shares will be considered.Application Details:

  • This is a fixed-term role with funding for 12 months in the first instance.
  • Appointment at Grade 7 is dependent on award and confirmation of a PhD (or equivalent). If this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Research Assistant Grade 6B, point 28 (salary £ 39,980 per annum inclusive of London allowance) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD thesis.

About youThe applicant should have an MSc and PhD in a relevant topic (PhD can either be submitted or close to submission), experience in behavioural intervention development, undertaking mixed methods research (using patient and public involvement and engagement, quantitative methods, conducting and analysing qualitative research), and knowledge of nutritional epidemiology (e.g. the dietary determinants of health, with an interest in ultra-processed food) and general interest in behavioural science.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:
