Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.We are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow (Education Focused) to support teaching delivered by the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Research Group including development of bespoke short courses and delivery of the Professional Certificate in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (PEPI) short courses. For the remainder of their time, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a research portfolio in pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance in the EHR Research Group. The split between the teaching and research roles is expected to be 60:40 (i.e., 3 days teaching and 2 days research). The post will be managed by Christopher Rentsch, the PEPI Programme Director.Applicants should have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in epidemiology or related field, and a recognised teaching qualification, or working towards one or able to demonstrate comparable experience in a formal teaching environment. A strong track record in both teaching and research is essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.The post is full-time, 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance with possibility for extension depending on whether there are further bespoke courses. The post is funded by the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health (EPH) and is available immediately.The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £43,947 – £49,908 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff.
