Job description
The Research Fellow will join the Centre of Energy, Power and Intelligent Control (EPIC) in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast.The post holder will be a highly productive, ambitious and collaborative member of EPIC and will be expected to assist in the development of research proposals and the planning and delivery of the research activity specifically distributed optimal planning, operation and control of low carbon power and energy systems.About the person:Applicants must have, and your application must clearly demonstrate the following:
- That they have or are about to obtain a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering.
- That they have recent relevant experience to include:
- Undertaking research in the area optimal operation of power and energy systems, e.g., distributed optimal operation of power and energy systems, electric vehicle integration, data analytics, etc.
- A proven track record of using optimization methodologies and tools to carry out analyses, critical evaluations, and interpretations of case study results of optimal operation, planning and control of low carbon power and energy systems
- Working effectively as part of a research team in the development and promotion of the research theme
- Strong publication record commensurate with stage of career
