Job Description:Research Consultant – Modeling and Meta-AnalysisJob SummaryAs a Research Consultant, you are an essential contributor to our Modeling & Meta-Analysis team and are responsible for contributing to a variety of HEOR studies, specifically health economic modeling and indirect treatment comparisons/network meta-analysis. You enjoy supporting senior team members on HEOR projects, managing project workstreams, and identifying new business opportunities. You are proactive, responsive, and able to balance shifting priorities to ensure promises are kept and expectations are exceeded. You have shown experience in health economic modeling and evidence synthesis. We would love to hear from you if you are a versatile health economist and would like to take the next step in your career.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designing and constructing health economic models (i.e., cost-effectiveness models, budget impact models) from scratch under the guidance of senior team members
  • Conducting relevant data analyses (i.e., survival analyses, meta-analysis) to support model development under minimum guidance of senior team members
  • Drafting key study documents, including study protocols, analysis plans, and technical reports under minimum guidance of senior team members with methodological/subject matter expertise
  • Assisting with the guidance of junior staff for the delivery of project subcomponents
  • Mentoring junior staff with a focus on their personal development
  • Helping to ensure timely delivery of project subcomponents by proactively flagging changes to scope and timelines
  • Independently communicates with clients on calls and via emails

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in relevant Science, Engineering, Epidemiology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Public Health or Medical Field is required
  • Previous experience in economic modelling and/or meta-analysis with a consulting company or pharmaceutical company preferred
  • Design and implementation of cost-effectiveness, budget impact analyses, meta-analysis, or other mathematical modelling
  • Experience with programming languages (MS Excel, VBA, R)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills that include the ability to prepare and present relevant summaries of complex materials
  • Good presentation skills and the ability to present complex information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to handle multiple projects successfully with scientific rigor
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team
  • Proactive, responsive, and able to balance shifting priorities and ensuring that promises are kept and expectations are exceeded
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Travel Requirements

  • 5% potential global travel
