You will focus on the design, control and testing of high-power cryogenic power electronics converters and DC circuit breakers.This position is offered on a full time, fixed term basis from 1st October 2024 with an expected duration of 18 months.About youOur ideal candidate will have:

• a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or relevant areas
• prior expertise in design and testing of high-power power electronics converter, electric motor drive, or DC circuit breaker
• knowledge of electromagnetic, thermal, PCB design and mechanical design
• strong communication skills
• ability to work collaboratively with the academic and industrial partners
