Job description

We are seeking to appoint a research associate in health data science with experience in the statistical analysis of routine health data. The role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team on an ongoing project that employs de-identified, linked, nationally collated healthcare datasets to investigate outcomes in people with blood cancer. The dataset provides an exciting opportunity to explore multiple real-world evidence (RWE) studies in specific blood cancer populations using a range of statistical analyses, including survival analysis, causal inference and prediction modelling. This project will investigate blood cancer outcomes for patients in North West England and explore disparities in outcome linked to deprivation and ethnicity.Applicants should have a MSc or equivalent in statistics, health data science or a related quantitative field (PhD desirable), advanced knowledge of a statistical programming language (e.g. R) and experience of applying statistical techniques to large-scale, routine healthcare data.
