As a Research Associate in antibody characterization, you will be part of the Biochemical Analysis team within the Chemistry Manufacturing Control (CMC) Science and Technologies department. In this lab-based role, you will be responsible for setting up and performing biochemical and biophysical experiments to support early and late development stages of Genmab’s antibody pipeline, directly contributing to Genmab’s core mission to develop new antibody therapeutics and improve the lives of cancer patients!This position combines laboratory work with data analysis, data interpretation and documentation, and equipment implementation. In addition, you will be responsible for coordinating the laboratory work of different projects and presenting data to other teams within Genmab’s CMC Utrecht and Copenhagen. You will also be setting up and performing characterization studies, such as forced degradation. - You will perform experiments using a wide range of modern biochemical techniques in several simultaneous projects (e.g., CE-SDS, HPLC/UPLC, icIEF, etc.)
- You work closely with scientists and other Research Associates in multiple project teams; no week will look the same!
- You collect, document, report, and present the results in a multisite environment (e.g., Copenhagen CMC team).
- Most of the work is performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and therefore requires a high degree of accuracy.
- You contribute to the optimization and innovation of our team.
- You execute biochemical analysis to support the development of drug candidates from preclinical development to clinical development.
RequirementsYou are keen and motivated to apply your up-to-date knowledge in protein biochemistry and experience with biochemical techniques to strengthen our team. You are precise, accurate and have affinity with analytics. In addition, you meet the following professional requirements:
- You hold a HLO, MSc or equivalent degree in biochemistry or molecular biology or other relevant fields. Candidates with a PhD are deemed overqualified, and their applications will not be considered.
- Relevant work/internship experience in protein analysis and preferably with antibodies.
- You have knowledge of and experience with the most commonly used biochemical analysis techniques.
- Experience with Absorbance Spectroscopy, Capillary Electrophoresis (CE-SDS and cIEF), Analytical Chromatography (HPLC), Bio-Layer Interferometry, MFI, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Differential Scanning Fluorimetry (DSF).
- An interest in software and data handling is an advantage.
- You can run several projects in parallel and adjusting priorities appropriately.
- You are motivated by delivering high-quality output and are used to working according to a quality system.
- You have good relational and communication skills in English, as this is the main language in Genmab.
