The Genetic and Non Memory Led Dementia (GNMLD) talk project is a multi-centre 5-year NIHR funded programme grant awarded to Dr Joshua Stott, focussing on evaluating blended online tools to support people affected by GNMLD (i.e., those living with non memory led dementias and their carers as well as people at genetic risk of dementia). This project is a collaboration between UCL Clinical and Educational Psychology based in Psychology and Language Sciences and the UCL dementia research centre, both world leading centres of excellence.About the roleThis is a full time, fixed term post until 1st September 2027.The applicant will support delivery of a £1.9 million NIHR programme grant focussed on evaluating interventions for three under-served populations of people with dementia; people living with non memory led dementia, carers of this group and people living at risk of autosomal dominant inherited dementias. The role will involve evaluation as well as write up of papers and reports relating to randomised control trials, pre post studies and survey work and supporting the PI in any other aspect of grant delivery, where appropriate.The role is eligible for hybrid working, dependent on the project schedule and needs.About youYou will be a dynamic, socially skilled Psychology graduate with at least a 2:1 and an MSc. You will have experience of randomised control trials of online interventions for people affected by dementia, some experience of a rare dementia context and excellent qualitative and quantative research skills. You will be skilled in engaging with diverse groups, particularly those from South Asian backgrounds and will have experience in co-designing interventions, and some clinical experience of working with people with dementia.
