We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.This is a fixed term position of 12 months.An opportunity has arisen within Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services for the position of Research and Care Governance Assistant.Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (GADRS) is an integrated health and social care partner within Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership (Glasgow HSCP). Strategically supported by the Glasgow City Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP), it delivers treatment services to those individuals with problematic alcohol and drug misuse issues across Glasgow City.You will provide support to the GADRS Care Governance Committee and its sub-groups with effective management and support activities, audit, research and monitoring reports to support and enable them to carry out Care Governance activities.You will take direction from the Clinical Governance Facilitator and will undertake, activity, as directed to assist with the implementation of any change to policy, guidelines, protocols, and procedural developments across the Alcohol and Drugs Services.You will also support the GG&C Alcohol and Drug Deaths Research Associate to report on alcohol and drug related deaths in GG&C and other relevant audits/reports as requested by the senior management of the GADRS.It is essential you are educated to Degree standard or have equivalent experience and knowledge of research and care governance.Informal contact: Claire Kerr, Care Governance Facilitator, [email protected]Details on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde encourages applications from all sections of the community.
