About the job: 

Primarily, you will be providing technical support to our external customers, utilizing your remote diagnostic capabilities. Focusing Chromatography products, your goal will be to reduce customer downtime and identify repair strategies. To be successful in this role, you must be very customer-focused, confident, flexible and willing to go the extra mile for our customers. We will make sure you get all the training and development opportunities you need to become the best in your field. 

As a Remote Support Engineer, you will be: 

  • Identify customer issues and provide a high level of reactive and proactive technical services in support of Agilent’s product portfolio
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by guiding, assisting and training users on maintenance and configurations
  • Remote trouble shooting on hardware and software
  • Providing problem resolution to optimize the efficiency and uptime availability of customer systems

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated individuals with the following background:

  • University Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences based discipline
  • At least a first experience (internship, apprenticeship, university projects…) in chromatography analytical techniques (especially GC/GC-MS) 
  • Full proficiency in English and Italian

Apart from these more technical skills, you should also have: 

  • Excellent communication (and with it, potential customer service) skills, 
  • A logical approach to problem-solving, 
  • The ability to organize and prioritize your workload effectively, 
  • A strong valuation of processes and the ability to follow them accordingly with strong attention to detail, with the final aim to ensure compliance with Agilent’s Quality standards, 
  • The ability to set customer expectations and balance customer requirements with Agilent’s business needs, 
  • The ability to both work independent as well as within teams.
