  • Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons that cover major world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical perspectives across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a classroom environment that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking, and respect for diverse viewpoints.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the R.E. curriculum and integrate cross-curricular themes.
  • Participate in and organise extracurricular activities, such as religious and cultural events, to enrich students’ learning experiences.

๐Ÿ“š Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical debates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
  • Commitment to promoting understanding and respect for religious and cultural diversity.
