Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annumSanctuary Personnel are currently seeking a Religious Education Teacher to join our client’s dynamic team.Main Duties:
- Effective Teaching: Responsible for effective teaching and adhering to the school’s aims and policies to help students learn, develop personally, and achieve their potential.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the department’s curriculum development.
- Broad Curriculum: Provide and engage students in a broad, balanced, relevant, and ambitious curriculum.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular activities.
- Student Support: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a teacher/form tutor.
- Raising Standards: Contribute to raising standards of student attainment and ensuring value is added.
- Personal Growth: Engage in opportunities for personal and academic growth.
- Professional Duties: Carry out professional duties as detailed in the Conditions of Service.
Curriculum Provision:
- Assist the Head of Curriculum Area and relevant leadership to ensure the department provides a range of teaching that complements and supports the school’s aims, priorities, and policies.
Curriculum Development:
- Support the process of curriculum development and change to ensure relevance to students’ needs, examination and awarding bodies, and the school’s mission and aims.

- Inspiration and Motivation: Set high expectations to inspire and challenge pupils.
- Progress and Outcomes: Promote good progress and outcomes for all students.
- Subject Knowledge: Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Lesson Planning: Plan and deliver well-structured lessons.
- Support and Challenge: Teach to the top, providing scaffolding and support to help all students achieve their potential.
- Assessment: Make accurate and productive use of assessments.
- Behaviour Management: Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Professional Responsibilities: Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.
- Ethics and Behaviour: Uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, both within and outside the school.
- School Ethos: Maintain a professional regard for the school’s ethos, policies, and practices, and demonstrate high standards of attendance and punctuality.
- Statutory Frameworks: Understand and act within the statutory frameworks that outline professional duties and responsibilities.
- Attainment of a commendable degree or its equivalent.
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status.
- This role is suitable for early career teachers.
