Position Summary

The Regulatory Scientific Affairs (RSA) Lead role will be key in building and strengthening connections and trust at all levels of the hierarchy both internally and externally. This includes building relationships with Authorities, NGOs, Universities, Industry, and interest groups to create a robust external network. Additionally, the RSA Lead will work closely with BEOs, Legal, Public Affairs, Operations, and within Zone and Global RSA Forums to strengthen internal connections.

In order to support the team and allow for more time and focus on proactive and strategic projects, the RSA Lead will take the lead in conducting a comprehensive Process and WOW review. This review aims to identify areas for improvement, as well as explore the implementation of new digital tools or technology to streamline artwork approvals and operational activities.

By taking on this responsibility, the RSA Lead will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team, enabling them to dedicate more time to strategic initiatives and enhancing the organization’s reputation and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

A day in the life of a Market Regulatory Scientific Affairs Manager

  • Manage a team of RSA Specialists.

  • Create and align vision and strategy for RSA within Nestle Belgilux.

  • Build & manage team execution of routine risk assessments, and action plans to close.

  • Review processes and WOW to identify areas of opportunity (to be more effective and / or efficient within the team)

  • Build and maintain relationships with Local Authorities, external industry forums, NGOs etc.

  • Working closely with Public Affairs and Legal, advocacy of key topics externally

As Market RSA Manager you report to Head of Operations and you are part of the Operations Team of Nestlé Belgilux

What will make you successful

  • 5+ years experience (& relevant education) within Food & Beverage industry in a senior Regulatory role

  • Experience in leading and inspiring a team to deliver strong results

  • Experience in working with Food & Drink authorities

  • Strong external network (NGOs, Industry Forums, Universities etc.)

  • Ability to manage and lead within a Crisis situation

  • Experience in leading change and transformation, within a matrix organization.
