Join us as a Regulatory Risk Manager
- We’ll look to you to proactively address regulatory change and upstream regulatory risk so we can better serve our customers and ensure compliance
- Working closely with relevant teams, you’ll provide regulatory support, guidance, and training on regulatory policy and interpretation
- You’ll make sure that regulatory compliance is monitored and maintained by appropriate horizon scanning and regulatory rules mapping with control and policy assessment
What you’ll doAs a Regulatory Risk Manager, you’ll manage our regulatory risk agenda to ensure the business is aware of, and complies with all relevant industry and regulatory developments. You’ll encourage client engagement and thought leadership initiatives and you’ll proactively address regulatory change to gain competitive advantage and ensure compliant practices. You’ll also coordinate with other teams across Natwest Markets (NWM) and you’ll support the execution of horizon scanning and regulatory mapping in line with group toolkits.You’ll also provide the business area with technical interpretation of regulatory rules applicable to the function and their impact on its operating model.As well as this, you’ll:
- Support management in their identification and assessment of material regulatory risks, and in determining their impact and applicability
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Compliance and Legal teams to ensure delivery of the regulatory agenda
- Produce summaries of regulatory and industry policy developments for inclusion in internal and external presentations and reporting
The skills you’ll need:We’re looking for someone with deep knowledge of the relevant European regulatory landscape. You’ll also have experience in regulatory oversight within investment banking.Furthermore, you’ll demonstrate:
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to develop working partnerships internally and externally
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing diverse initiatives without compromising quality
- The ability to share specialist knowledge with others to aid their understanding and decision-making
