Our Client, a Global Leader in Science and Innovation, Seeks an Ecotoxicologist (Brussels Area)

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the environmental safety of their ingredients, particularly within the perfumery & beauty business. You will leverage your scientific knowledge and regulatory expertise to contribute to the company’s innovation strategy and success.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Provide in-depth scientific knowledge of environmental safety and regulations to research, development, and customer projects.
* Collaborate closely with research and development teams to integrate environmental safety considerations into new product innovation.
* Partner with external labs and consultants to generate critical ecotoxicity and environmental fate data.
* Conduct thorough environmental safety assessments, present findings, and discuss them with regulatory authorities and industry associations.
* Stay abreast of global chemical regulations and advancements in the field of environmental safety.
* Participate in strategic projects that drive the company’s long-term goals.
To be successful, you will possess:
* A university degree in Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related field.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scientific Expert within the chemical sector, with a strong understanding of chemical control regulations, registrations, and ecotoxicology.
* Excellent organizational skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit.
* Proficiency in English language.
* Knowledge of in silico tools (e.g., QSAR, ToolBox) and regulatory systems (e.g., IUCLID) is a plus.
* A passion for driving positive change through scientific excellence, creativity, and a focus on environmental impact.

Salary Information:
* The client are open to assessing candidates at various seniorities and as a result have not provided a salary bracket as they would not like it to be a limiting factor. However, their salaries tend to be quite could in comparison to competitor companies.
