Regulatory Affairs Specialist – Food Compliance
Are you ready to join a multinational team and contribute to ensuring product compliance with European food laws and technical standards? We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support the compliance of confectionery products (chewing gum & candies) with applicable regulations and company policies, focusing on Europe with a particular emphasis on France.
Key Responsibilities
* Regulation Monitoring: Stay updated on European food and labeling laws, assessing their impact on products and business.
* Labeling Compliance: Verify product labels and approve them to ensure they meet local regulations.
* Project Support: Collaborate with Marketing to provide regulatory advice under the supervision of the Manager.
* Ingredient and Nutritional Information: Prepare ingredient lists and nutritional data based on R&D recipes and raw material specifications, including for food supplements and enriched products.
* Legislation Analysis: Analyze regulations and summarize key information for internal teams.
* Customs and Regulatory Database: Work with the regulatory database to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Support the Manager in liaising with trade associations, food authorities, and technical consultants.

Technical Skills
* Language Skills: Proficiency in French (oral and written) and good command of English. Italian is a plus.
* Regulatory Expertise:
* Knowledge of European food and labeling laws.
* Experience preparing ingredient lists and nutritional information, including for food supplements.
* Ability to analyze legislation, assess its impact, and communicate key insights effectively.
* Understanding of the interplay between scientific and legal aspects.
* Research and Accuracy: Strong research skills with a high degree of accuracy.
* Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
* Education: Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, or Chemistry (essential).
* Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in the food industry within Europe, ideally in a multinational environment (essential).
Additional Information
* Mobility: Availability for occasional European business trips.
* Focus: Work will center on compliance in European markets, with particular attention to France.
