About the role

We are looking for a Regional System Application Engineer to drive system-level engagement and application excellence across our wide bandgap power semiconductor portfolio.

In this role, you will operate at the interface between customers, R&D, and commercial teams, delivering application-driven solutions that enable design wins and support business growth. You will play a key role in translating customer requirements into product innovation, while strengthening Nexperia’s position in target markets.

What you will do

  • Own system-level engagement across the region, including ecosystem mapping (customers, design houses, partners, suppliers)
  • Develop and deliver application-focused engineering solutions to support customer design-in and demand creation
  • Create reference designs, demo solutions, and application collateral to showcase product performance
  • Provide deep application support, including subsystem design, debug, and optimisation
  • Analyse customer challenges and application requirements, translating them into product and roadmap inputs
  • Drive technical marketing activities, including application notes, technical papers, training, and webinars
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and Market Focus Programs
  • Deliver on-site customer support, troubleshooting, and technical guidance
  • Identify and track industry and application trends to influence new product ideas
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders across R&D, FAE, sales, and marketing teams

What you will bring

  • Strong background in semiconductor devices, power electronics, or electrical engineering
  • Deep understanding of electronic systems from application to device level
  • Experience with lab equipment and design tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, power analysers, Orcad, Altium)
  • Ability to develop reference designs and application-level solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving approach
  • Strong customer focus with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Collaborative, with experience working in global and multicultural teams
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven

Your profile

  • Degree or equivelent (Master’s or above) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 5 years’ experience in the semiconductor or electronics industry
  • Experience in application engineering, system design, or product support
  • Strong track record in customer-facing technical roles
