The Position

As a Regional Medical Advisor at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in driving the medical and scientific engagement strategy for our cardiometabolic portfolio in your region. You will collaborate closely with key opinion leaders (KOLs), sales and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication of medical data. This is a field-based role, and you will act as a core member of the Regional cross functional Team.
 

Your key accountabilities will include:

-Establish scientific expertise and drive impactful interactions with HCPs and KOLs through field presence 40-60% of the time

-Identify evidence gaps and contribute to real-world evidence generation and innovative research ideas

-Lead local advisory boards, gather external insights, and communicate them internally

-Support the implementation of the Danish Medical Affairs strategy and activity plan

-Strategic and scientific partner to the clinical trial team

Qualifications

As our Regional Medical Advisor, you hold a master’s in medicine, pharmaceutical or other natural sciences; has a proven track record of professional experience within in the clinical/pharmaceutical industry in diabetes or cardiometabolic medicine.

Moreover, you meet the below requirements:

-Proven experience in management of Medical Affairs activities, of clinical trials, observational studies and planning of and conducting advisory boards/expert panels

-Innate ability and drive to engage and interact authoritatively with key internal and external stakeholders

-Fluent in both Danish and English in oral and written forms

Candidate should be based in region Capital, Denmark.

About the Department

The Medical & Scientific Affairs Department constitutes, Head of Medical, three Regional Medical Advisors and five Medical Managers who are responsible for driving and/or leading the scientific activities within the Novo Nordisk focus therapy areas. As part of our key missions, we strive to improve patients’ lives by ensuring healthcare decisions are based on latest evidence.

We collect, interpret, and implement scientific evidence and insights related to our focus areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders. We manage investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and support & drive generation and interpretation of real-world studies across Denmark. Additionally, we support clinical trial activities and provide scientific input to activities across the organisation.
