This includes Sales, Solution Design, Project Execution (Project Management and Commissioning), and After-Sales Service. The role involves all functions with overall business and operational leadership, the development and implementation of the Business Unit related strategies and ensuring financial and operational goals are achieved in line with the Business Unit objectives in the Operating Unit KION ITS EMEA.Tasks:
- Own the P&L (Profit & Loss) for the business unit in the region, including cost control, revenue growth, and profitability. Close alignment with Regional and Brand heads on budget targets and achievement.
- Develop and implement the regional business strategy for the Automation Business Unit in collaboration with the region to ensure the results according business plan in sales and revenue.
- Take ownership of the sales strategy and ensure achievement of revenue and growth targets.
- Build long-term customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify new market opportunities together with the brands and develop growth strategies to strengthen market presence including developing of additional verticals. Build relationships with key accounts and local customers and partners in the region.
- Solution Design: Lead the Solution Design team in developing the right automation solutions for customers in close collaboration with the central teams. Considering innovation, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and where needed tailored to specific customer needs.
- Realization of the projects with a proper handover from Sales to Project Management and implementation with the commissioning teams and service.
- Ensure the satisfaction of the customer with the completion of the projects on time, within budget and in the right quality fulfilling the expected norms.
- Manage the after-sales service together with the service organization to ensure ongoing customer support, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of installed automation solutions. Promote long-term service contracts and customer retention.
- Build and lead a high-performing team across sales, solution design, Realization (Project Management& commissioning) and service functions. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented corporate culture.
- Enable new technologies and automation solutions in the region to support customer competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- Completed studies, ideally in logistics, business administration or a comparable qualification with a high degree of technical affinity and logistics processes.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set with high degress of business and sales capabilities.
- Several years of professional experience in Sales, Solution Design and Realization in the field of intralogistics, logistics, material handling sector or automation.
- Leadership skills with Management experience within the automation and intralogistics business which fit to our management philosophy.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics solutions mainly driven by automation with a minimum of understanding of software solutions from control systems, robotics and fleetmanagement to warehouse management solutions.
- A structured and organized working approach is required, oriented towards customer satisfaction with the Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop solutions that drive business success.
- Confident handling of MS Office and knowledge of common ERP and CAD systems
- Willingness to travel (approx. 50%)
- Enjoyment of teamwork
- Proven success in the sustainable development of customer relationships and acquisition of new customers
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish (high level is mandatory).
