In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of our Group Data Management Organization for Region and supporting future data related projects as the analyst for specific data objects from the regional perspective, with responsibilty to ensure data quality and robust data governance in line with KION standards.
In addition, you will be the part of a current group-wide Business Transformation project (based on SAP S/4HANA implementation with interfaces to other systems like Salesforce, etc., together with business processes harmonization and standardization), where you will be supporting data migration activities. Exciting challenges await you every day.What we offer:Regional Data Key User is a supporting role for the Regional Data Steward to provide data insights by performing data analysis and performing automated and semi-automated data cleansing activities.Main responsibilities as a Data Key User for specific data objects within your region as part of ITS EMEA Sales & Service Data Management Organization:

  • Design and implement data analysis and dashboarding related to Data Quality Management and other activities related to Data Management (e.g., compliance, etc.) on behalf of Regional Data Steward, as well as supporting continuous assessment, cleansing, and monitoring of Data Quality
  • Supporting Regional Data Steward in enforcing KION Group and ITS EMEA defined, and developing data governance rules, policies, and standards in your region, by cooperating directly with process key users
  • Design and perform the mass-data changes on behalf of Regional Data Steward
  • Contributing to Data Lifecycle Management at KION Group and ITS EMEA S&S level (data storage and archiving, retention, and disposal), including specific regional data classification
  • Supporting Regional Data Steward in analyzing new requirements for data objects, as well as enhancements, modifications, and improvements (such as data model changes, data quality rules, data governance rules, etc.), by acting as a bridge between IT, data management and process teams, and business units at regional and global level
  • Documenting data-related processes, standards, and changes for future reference, incl. metadata management, and ensuring transparency of data structure and usage
  • Contributing in data communities and future data related projects on regional and global level
  • Identifying and building subject matter expert network for your region within business and IT teams
  • Providing 2nd level data support and expertise to process key users and end users for data requests and issues, including business impact and root cause analysis
  • Educating other employees about data governance, data management, and the importance of data compliance

Tasks and Qualifications:During current KION Business Transformation project you will additionally support the following tasks:

  • data migration for specific objects by validating data extraction and transformation rules with regional subject matter experts, as well as the data loads to prevent loss of information
  • supporting the Regional Data Steward by analysing data cleansing needs for specific objects for your region within current systems to ensure a smooth migration of data into the new system during the roll-in, and where necessary perform and manage mass updates to correct master data errors
  • contributing to the development of data migration and management concepts and cutover plan
  • supporting test data specification and preparation for regional test phases during the project

Your skills:

  • You have a degree in (technical) economics, e.g. in business informatics, industrial engineering or business administration or a similar practical experience in a related field
  • Engineering industry experience is an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, especially Excel to perform data analysis
  • Strong skills in data analytics platforms and applications (e.g. Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP BW), as well as data related programming languages (e.g. SQL, Power Query, Python etc.)
  • Experience in building dashboards, including design and data extraction techniques and tools from various sources
  • Understanding of data management principles, including data lifecycle, quality, security, and privacy, as well as practical experience in data management and data analysis
  • SAP system knowledge and practical experience, ideally R3 and S/4 HANA as well as SAP BW and SAP BW/4, experience with SAP MDG is an advantage
  • Understanding of ETL processes including KPIs matrix and metadata
  • Strong affinity for data and understanding of the connections between business processes and data flows across multiple IT systems and applications
  • Analytically minded and methodical approach in combination with business value and risk-based aspects
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders about data-related topics at management and operational levels
  • Able to understand, investigate and present complex data and process topics
  • Able to efficiently prioritise work and provide timely updates to stakeholders on the progress
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and issues, as well as inter departmental or regional challenges regarding data governance demands
  • Strong written and communication skills in English and (local language) language, independent and autonomous
