Summary Who May Apply? WORLD-WIDE US Citizens not ordinarily resident in Belgium. US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium. Non-US Nationals must have resided in the US or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. This position is located at the USAG Benelux, DFMWR, Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), Chievres AB, Belgium. Responsibilities Special events implemented include events such as Autumn Fest, Winter Fest, Easter Spring Filing, Independence Day Celebration, shows, and assisting in other program operations and activities. Promotes and coordinates a maximum participation recreation program on a year-round basis to support eligible personnel. Develops programs, which will meet participant interests and needs of team and individual activities. Identifies facilities, personnel and supplies required to support each program. Promotes, organizes and directs intramural and all-star sports programs to coincide with scheduled higher level tournaments for the same sport. Prepares budgets. Recommends new programs that are cost effective and assures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests of the population served. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications COMPLETION OF A BACHELOR’S DEGREE in general recreation; outdoor recreation; public recreation; or community recreation OR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE DIRECTING ONE OR MORE RECREATION PROGRAMS. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the NF-03 level. Experience that demonstrated the ability to apply the principles of one or more specialty areas of recreation. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, or evaluating community, outdoor, institutional, or other recreational programs. Instructing in the principles and techniques of recreational program planning and management. Serving in a leadership role in the programs and activities of local, regional, and/or national recreational organizations. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government’s interest.
