As a recovery worker with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.
With this role you’ll be working as part Gateshead Recovery Partnership based in central Gateshead
The team supports people with their or their loved ones’ drug and/or alcohol issues.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. As well as experienced in motivational interviewing and working with individuals with complex needs and guiding them through their recovery journey to achieve their goal. You will also work with a multitude of other professional agencies in Gateshead from police and probation to safeguarding and housing to support the people using our service.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.
In Gateshead we are part of the better health at work scheme and actively encourage staff to engage in activites to support their physical and mental wellbeing at work. You will received 1 hour per week to utilise for something that actively supports your wellbeing.
