Job descriptionReligious Studies teacher – Tameside – OctoberProspero Teacher are recruiting a passionate Religious Studies teacher to join a team at a secondary school in Tameside. The role will start after the October half term, will be full time and will continue for the rest of the current academic year.The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching Religious Studies and will be able to motivate, elevate and challenge students to produce the highest quality work and achieve high academic standards. It would be advantageous if you are experienced teaching another humanities subject to key stage 3 students, however, this is not essential.The ideal candidate:Has a proven history to secure excellent pupil results in Religious Studies GCSE exams Can inspire and lead high quality teaching, learning and assessment Is dynamic and an ambitious practitioner, who can build on the success of the subject and ensure good progress for all pupils Has experience of effective teaching and supporting pupils with a range of SEN, behavioural and academic needs.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONSTamesideReligious Studies TeacherFull timeOctober startEnd date July 25Minimum rate of pay £162.318am – 4pm Monday to FridayTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:Be willing to register with Prospero Teaching and complete all required vetting checksHold Right to Work in the UKHold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide a minimum of two professional teaching related references covering the last 2 years
