R&D Testing & Lab Specialist – Temporary

In this position, you will execute tests on different Medium Voltage (MV) devices using your knowledge of standard references and testing methodologies, investigating and resolving critical product issues, optimizing processes, and verifying product compliance. You will also analyze and document test results for use in the development of new products, as well as defining the details, test sequences, testing methods and procedures, and equipment and instrumen-tation to be used.

Your responsibilities

• Performing mechanical and/or electrical tests according with the planning and priorities on MV prod-ucts (Circuit Breaker, Switchgear and Switching).
• Preparing, reviewing, managing, and updating documents (drawings, draft report and type test re-port).
• Ensuring that prototypes are correctly assembled, tests are correctly performed, and activities are thoroughly reported.
• Collaborate with team members about test operations, processes and safety.
• Proposing improvements to test techniques based on experience and knowledge of trends and equip-ment.

Your background

• Secondary school education and degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic studies.
• 2 years of experience in Testing or Calibration Laboratories, MV products Production, Quality dept. and R&D dept.
• Sound knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical measurement, Electrical Diagram, Testing equipment and Automatic Testing Machine.
• English language: A2 level.
• Current B driving licenses valid in Italy.
• Knowledge of MW 10, Office and Outlook. LabVIEW is a plus.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
