Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will join the Laboratory team responsible for testing and certification of ABB low voltage products in the field of DIN-Rail, Wiring Accessories and Building Automation. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division located in Vittuone, Italy. You will be mainly accountable for: •Defining test plans to verify the compliance of a product to the requested standards and the fulfillment of its market requirements. •Defining new testing procedures and test cases to functionally verify the performances of the products and their correct integration in wider and more complex ecosystems. •Performing tests on various types of products according to test plan, standards and safety rules, within the timeline assigned. •Closely collaborate with the R&D and Quality engineers to develop the best technical solutions to address quality issue and reach the requested product performances. •Performing analysis on experimental data, summarize the results and prepare technical test reports on completed activities. •Proposing and implementing improvements in the existing test set-ups in terms of equipment, techniques, methods, and new tools. •Assisting and supporting external certification inspectors during testing activities for ABB products. •Handling the approval process of ABB products with certification bodies in Italy and abroad and support the Customer Service colleagues in debugging and resolving issues coming from the market.
Qualifications for the role
- You enjoy working with science and technology supported by a strong technical background.
- Have established skills at working independently and in a team setting.
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of basic Laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, functions generator etc..).
- You are captivated by strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronic, engineering or equivalent.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
